Multnomah Falls

Portland's most popular hike. This is where you take your in-laws when they're in town.

Although partly paved and short this could be a great rewarding hike. At 620 feet, this is a second highest year-round waterfall in the nation. So if you haven't been, it's worth a visit. Follow the Larch Mountain trail to the historic Benson Arch Bridge (1/4 mile). This is where most of the crowd turns back. After the bridge, the steep climb begins. The trail continues another mile to the top of the falls. At the base of the falls you will find the historic Multnomah Falls Lodge. The Lodge was built in 1925.
